Archie

2000 - 2017

Archie was truly the best cat ever. He would come from anywhere in the house to sit beside me when I was upset - he just sat there until I was finished crying (probably over a silly boy problem or something). He would purr like a mad man, lay down on command (for belly rubs) and in his last months he learned that anyone wearing a fluffy housecoat was the best place to nap. Archie LOVED laying on pillows - he slept with me every night and learned the command "lets go to bed". Archie was born in my closet, in a pair of my shoes - 17 years ago. We did what we could to help clear his sinus infection, but ultimately it wasn't fair to him anymore and we both had to let go of each other. I take solace in that at his last Veterinary appointment he was a happy cat. We didn't wait until he was so ill that it wasn't fair. While I miss him more than my heart can bear, I know that we made the right decision. We fought for almost 3 months. The house isn't the same without him around.

Archie - you will forever be missed by your housemates, George and Arson Charlie. You will always be in a very special place in my heart and I wish that I could see you one last time. You are with a long list of great pets now, including your litter-mate Boots, and I hope you get to run wild and free up there.

I love you more than anything and I miss you so much.
