Snuffles

Snuffles was a stray cat we found living in our back shed. She was named for her ever running nose. Snuffles was always trying to bolt into our house at every chance she got. She would follow me around the yard as i went about looking after the plants, repairing things etc. Snuffles lived in our back yard for about 3-4 months until Friday November 19 2016 Snowfall had been predicted for overnight so we decided we would keep Snuffles in the spare bedroom and take her to the humane society in the morning. Snuffles settled right in and went to sleep on the pillow at the head of the bed. ~November 21,2016 we left for the shelter at about 9:30 am. After going through a less than pleasant time waiting and arguing they finally decided to take Snuffles in after discovering she had a URI they explained she would not be put down unless she was too sick. ~ November 29, 2016 I decided to call the shelter to check up on Snuffles and received sad news Snuffles' infection was too severe and was affecting he whole body. She was septic and the infection would have killed her had she not been put down. Snuffles chose me even if she wasn't my cat she will be missed forever.
