DON'T CRY

Don't cry over my passing because you loved me.
I know that you love me still and forever will love me,
Cry over the animals that don't have what you gave me,
The animals that are hurt by humans instead of being loved,
The animals that are starving,
The animals that are sick with no chance of getting care and help.
But don't cry for me because you gave me everything I needed,
Love, care, attention, medicine, food, shelter against the cold and heat and the rain.
I was one of the lucky ones.
