Maddie Pooh Green

2001 - 2014

It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to our baby girl. Just shy of her 13th birthday, Maddie has managed to get through 6 longs year of diabetes, hypo-thyroidism, allergies, blindness and recently diagnosed with Cognitive Dysfunction Syndrome. She was well managed over the past six years and sadly started to deteriorate in her old age. Maddie had spent her earlier years being the typical puppy! Pulling the toilet paper off of its roll. Hiding our freshly purchased groceries under the bed. Jumping on tables to sneak some popcorn. Two years ago she ate the Halloween Pumpkin and Gobbled up the Ginger bread house. We could only laugh as we knew Maddie's nose would take her directly to any kind of food! Maddie had many nicknames within our house, "Maddie-Pooh", "Maddicans", "Maddie-Fatty". Maddie's favorite toy was her pet lizzard, which we will leave on the mantel. She leaves behind her doggy friends in Burlington and most recently, her good friend Storm; whom she would have her early morning walks with! Maddie also leaves behind her Mom (Shannon) Dad (Derek), sisters, (Tenley) and (Victoria). Her extended family will miss her deeply! It breaks our hearts to see her go and not have Maddie awaiting our arrival at our front door for kisses and hugs, but we know her Papa is awaiting her arrival on the other side. We will miss you deeply our sweet Maddie-Pooh! May you rest in peace! xxx
