My sweet sweet girl Dakota... I am so sorry I let you down by not being with you as you took your last breath yesterday morning. You had Dad by your side to hold you and remind you how much we love you. You have been a faithful loving companion for 13 years and I am so glad you chose us when we first met. I'll never forget how you walked up to me and just curled up in my lap and went to sleep like you were waiting for me to arrive. Once you were in my arms, you knew it was forever. You suffered no pain and now can run as free as your spirit was while you were with us. This house will never be the same without you, we are heartbroken and will miss you.
