1998 - 2014

Today, we had to say goodbye to our beloved Beatrice.
Beatrice - well know as BeaBea, lived out the majority of her life at Beckwith Animal Hospital as one of our clinic kitties. Bea loved to be around everyone at all times, so much that if... you had a paper in front of you (which you usually needed), Bea would set herself right ontop of that paper..leaving you no choice but to give her all your loving. If you put your hand even near her head, she would plow her head into the palm of your hand demanding to be pet. She also loved being carried around in your arms like a little baby, she was so sweet.
Last year, a small lump was noticed on her bottom jaw..and with some time, it was clear that cancer was in her jaw.
She did very well for quite some time, being closley monitored and eventually having some pain management to make her more comfortable..but in the last little while her health began to diminish.
Dr.Ashdown will miss having Bea sit 1 foot from her face while typing notes in her office. We will all miss how demanding she was that you share your lunch with her..everyday! And if you had chicken..good luck!
Bea will also be missed by her best friend Charlotte, although they have their words every now and then...we are sure that they snuggle when we are not around
Beatrice, you will be missed everyday!
